New posts are below this one. It reads like a PDF from top to bottom
Hyperlinked text in the posts (of which the most recent is located on the last, not first page to avoid accidental spoilers) indicates music that I listened to while writing. The pace of my work often reflects the music to which I listened, and at times the effect is enhanced when such music is played while reading. These links do however bear ads, which I ask that you tolerate, since this is the only way I am able to keep making posts.
The adventures of Aleorn and Or'do as they seek to cleanse the Darkness

Before you read
This blog reads like a PDF go to the LAST page for the most recent post.
1) Welcome to a new ad free version of Aleorn: Heir of Cinder; I have not removed the ads from battle music links, but in the future the links will not have ads attached. Videos will be monetized however; I encourage you to watch them as it helps me keep this experience ad free.
2) This blog reads like a PDF or book, meaning that the posts appear in order from top to bottom. Scroll down for the most recent post, for it is backdated to keep the pages ordered properly.
3) Hyperlinked words in the post link to the music I listen to whilst composing these posts; I find that listening again while reading lends greater emotion and power to the work. I apologize for advertising on them, but this is how I am able to keep making these.
4) While the story lags in some places, it is usually (when going over boss battles) to emphasize the monotony of their existence. You can of course skip boring posts if you so wish, you will miss nothing more than the camaraderie after a battle (which you could gain by reading the last bits of the post anyway)
5) Please do leave comments, it helps me know what to improve, and what to leave untouched.

Note
This blog is regularly updated, but the posts are not laid out by date of publication, but rather as you would find them in a book (i.e the most recent will actually be the lowest on the last page). All NEW posts are backdated so that they can appear without spoiling the ones before them.
This means, that the blog will not appear to be updated at all, since the top post will remain unchanged; however, if you scroll down, you will find the most recent post.
Please notice that there are new posts, just go to "older posts" and you shall find them.

Post 1
From mire I lurch, tendrils of foulness binding me like chains of wrought iron. This is neither the first world upon which my eyes of webbed coal have gazed, nor shall it be the last. By the flame in my breast, and the eternal call of a warmth I am forever denied, I am bound to serve. Yet by the hate that seethes through my ancient bones, I shall not long suffer these bonds. Too many have I slain, too many have I cast down from high perch, too many times have I myself perished in the name of a cause whose allure has long turned colder than the ash I detest.
An axe that dwarfs all save for its first wielder, the Dragonslayer Armour, rests heavy with promise upon my shoulder as I stumble onward, then settle into that familiar gait; my blazing eyes fixed on the bleak skies before me. This time, I promise myself, will be different.

Post 2
I woke nearly as swiftly as I had fallen, and rising with an air of weariness, I noted that Or'do had staggered to his feet. He stooped as if beneath a collar of iron, his seared flesh hanging limp and scorched around him.
"We cannot linger." He rasped, his voice thick with pain. "They know of us now."
"They?" I reached forward, yet he waved away my questing hand.
"I can stand well enough. They are whatever presence profits from this cycle, perhaps the Flame itself. Regardless, you must feel it, that sense of impending cataclysm. We must begone from this place before the chariots of chaos arrive, for whatever presence they bear is one we cannot contest."
"In that state, I doubt we can go far."
"We do not need to." He grimaced as Cinder flared within him, white flames curling from his bare chest, singing in hoarse, gleeful tones as it laid waste to the heart beneath. Trembling, his hand slashed the air, and a dark rift blazed to life before him. "Come, quickly!" Even as the words drifted past his lips, Or'do half shambled, half collapsed into the man sized gap, through which only perfect, unblemished darkness could be seen. Shaking my head, I glanced about one last time, certain that I would not see this realm again, then I followed my comrade through the gates of hell.

post 3
Before me fell Vordt, fell the Curse Rotted heathen of days long past, fell the mighty Dancer, and the scores of ravenous undead between. Perhaps I am unstoppable, or perhaps I am merely lucky. At this moment, it matters not which.

Enter: Ordo
This day, I learned again what it means to feel hope. I was battered, driven back by the Watchers of the Abyss; my blood leaked warm and mournful across the stones, as their powerful blows staggered me. Then, a Hollow: a specter clad in gold, smashed through the door of fog, his blade a honeyed whirlwind that drove back those dark warriors.
At his side I vanquished them, blinded forevermore the Watcher's eyes. With my taciturn comrade at my side, Wolnir fell without more than pitiable resistance, his hands nigh severed beneath the ferocity of our strikes. As he crumpled, my comrade spoke: his name he revealed to be Or'do, slayer of the Cinder Lords much as I myself am tasked. Yet he like I chafes beneath the endless cycle, and I believe, that he like I, will break it.
